BCC Principal

Adrian Wenban holds a B.Sc.(Anatomy), a B.App.Sc.(Chiropractic), a M.Med.Sc.(Clinical Epidemiology) and a P.Gr.Cert.(Medical Education).

In practice for more than 25 years, he has worked in 5 different countries, served as an Associate Governor of the Australian Spinal Research Foundation (1997-2007) and was the president of the Fundación Privada Quiropráctica from 2007 to 2009.

Adrian’s areas of interest include philosophy of science, curriculum development and reviewing peer-reviewed health care literature.
He has been an active member of the Spanish Chiropractic community being a member of the Spanish Chiropractic Association (AEQ) for almost 20 years (1998-present).

Adrian currently serves as the Principal of the Barcelona College of Chiropractic (2009-present) and in so doing has the honour of leading a team of people committed to delivering a programme of study that leads to the graduation of compassionate, bilingual chiropractors committed to the pursuit of personal development and excellence, and capable of integrating the philosophy, science and art of chiropractic.

Dr. Christopher Kent is a Chiropractor and an attorney. He is the CEO of On Purpose, LLC, and co-founder of Chiropractic Leadership Alliance (CLA). His passion for facilitating human empowerment led him to the chiropractic profession, where he has served as a practitioner, educator, author, lecturer and researcher. Dr. Kent graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic, Iowa in 1973.

Following graduation, Dr. Kent joined the Palmer Faculty. While at Palmer, he was elected president of the faculty senate and worked as a principal investigator in the research deparment. After leaving Palmer, he entered full time practice, and qualified as a specialist in chiropractic diagnostic imaging. He was named a Fellow of the College of Chiropractic Imaging. Dr. Kent also served as an associate professor at Palmer-West in California. He is an active member of the State Bar in California and is admitted as an attorney of the U.S. District Court, Southern District of California.

Dr. Kent is known within the chiropractic profession for his dedication to defining the science, art, ethics and philosophy of Chiropractic for students and doctors of Chiropractic. He is the author of textbook chapters and articles in peer-reviewed and popular journals. He serves on the editorial boards of the Journal of Pediatric, Maternal and Family Health and the Journal of Vertebral Subluxation Research.

International Chiropractors Association (ICA) “Chiropractic Researcher of the year” in 1991 and selected ICA “Chiropractor of the Year” in 1998, he received the Larry Webster Lifetime Achievement Award for his work in pediatric chiropractic in 2000 and Life University’s first Lifetime Achievement Award in 2007. He is the Chair of the United Nations NGO Health Commitee, the first Chiropractor selected for that office. He received the BJ Palmer Award on the 50th Anniversary. of the Florida Chiropractic Society, in 2015.

Right now he is the Director of Evidence-Informed Curriculum and Practice. Sherman College of Chiropractic. where he is also serving as a professor.

Earlier this year, Dr. Kent was named a Fellow of the College of Straight Chiropractic.

Juan Alonso is a 2001 Palmer College of Chiropractic graduate. Has been in private practice since in San Sebastián, Spain.

He is one of the few upper cervical Chiropractors in Europe, and definitely one of the most knowledgeable ones.

Dr. Alonso is certified in knee chest upper cervical work by Dr. Kale.

Has been in several mission trips around the world spreading the word and benefits of Chiropractic Care.

Eric Russell, DC, DPhCS, FICA

Dr. Eric Russell graduated from Palmer College in Iowa, USA in 1996 . He is currently Faculty Member of Parker College of Chiropractic in Texas, USA where he teaches Subluxation Theories, Chiropractic Philosophy and Principles, and also Chiropractic Foundation. Dr. Russell stands as an effective communicator with extensive chiropractic networks with excellent planning, organizational, and negotiation strengths as well as the ability to lead, reach consensus, establish goals, and attain results.

Dr. Russell in an expert and an advocate in terms of Chiropractic Philosophy. He got his Diplomate in Chiropractic Philosophical Standards by the International Chiropractors Association in 2005. He is also a member of the Legion of Chiropractic Philosophers and a Fellow of the International Chiropractors Association.

He served as the 4th president of New Zealand College of Chiropractic from 2011 to 2013.

Because of his emphasis on service to the profession, Dr. Russell has received numerous professional and teaching awards. Some of his most prestigious awards include induction to the Palmer College of Chiropractic Great Hall of Philosophers and the Palmer Hall of Presidents, Parker College of Chiropractic Faculty of the Year, Fellow of the International Chiropractors Association and Chiropractor of the Year for both Illinois and Texas to name a few. Dr. Russell strives to inspire chiropractors to be the best they can be at the philosophy, science and art of chiropractic.

Dr. Matthew McCoy is currently the CEO and Co-Founder of ChiroFutures – a chiropractic malpractice insurance program, Vice President of the Foundation for Vertebral Subluxation and serves on the Board of Trustees of Sherman College of Chiropractic.

He was a Professor at Life University for 18 years serving in the Clinical Sciences Division, the Director of Research, an Instructor within Clinics and the Clinic Proficiency Department and was one of the developers of the Clinical Education Track there. Prior to this he was in private practice in Kirkland, Washington and is the past owner and Clinical Director for four integrative health care centers in South Florida. Dr. McCoy practiced in Russia for two years where he developed a chiropractic treatment, teaching & research center in Vladivostok, Russia by invitation of the Russian Government.

Dr. McCoy is actively engaged in research in such areas as health outcomes, pediatric and maternal health, and outcome assessment.

Dr. McCoy received his undergraduate degree in Organizational Management from Covenant College, a Doctor of Chiropractic from Life College School of Chiropractic in 1989 and a Master of Public Health from Emory Universitywith a concentration in Health Outcomes.

He has pursued extensive post graduate training in the areas of research, applied chiropractic sciences, spinal adjusting technique, spinal trauma, treatment and rehabilitation. He additionally has post graduate training in magnetic resonance imaging, electroneurodiagnostics, spinal outcome assessment, impairment rating and is a Certified Independent Medical Examiner. Dr. McCoy is a Candidate for Diplomate Status in Applied Chiropractic Science through the International Chiropractors Association.

Actively involved in best practices initiatives, Dr. McCoy was a founding board member of the Council on Chiropractic Practice, Past Chairman of the Guidelines Committee and Past Vice Chair of the Research Committee. He was a chiropractic liason to the Institute of Medicine’s Committee on Complementary and Alternative Medicine.

Other professional memberships include: The International Chiropractic Pediatric Association, the International Federation of Chiropractic Organizations, the Georgia Council of Chiropractic, Florida Chiropractic Society, New York Chiropractic Council, Chiropractic Society of Texas and the American Public Health Association.

Dr. McCoy is a Board member of the American College of Addictionology & Compulsive Disorders and Vice President of the Foundation for Vertebral Subluxation. He is presently Editor of the Journal of Pediatric, Maternal & Family Health, The Journal of Upper Cervical Chiropractic Research, The Annals of Vertebral Subluxation Research and the Journal of the Philosophy, Principles and Practice of Chiropractic. He is the past Editor of the Journal of Vertebral Subluxation Research, and is a past editorial board member of Today’s Chiropractic.

Dr. McCoy has served as an expert witness and consultant in numerous state board actions, malpractice cases, peer review, insurance and IME issues over the past 25 years. These include cases in both the United States and countries abroad such as Australia and the United Kingdom.

In May, 2017 he was appointed to the Board of Trustees for Sherman College of Chiropractic in South Carolina, USA.

On June, 2017 he was also awarded Chiropractor of the year by Sherman College of Chiropractic.

Dr. Ana Echeveste graduated Summa Cum Laude from Life University in 2007, earning the Clinic Excellence award and the Certificate of Merit “Belief Systems and Performance”.

She is Toggle Recoil and Thompson teacher at the Barcelona College of Chiropractic.

Her public positions include Past Secretary and Vicepresident of the Spanish Chiropractic association..

Has given toggle recoil workshops since 2015 around Europe.

Owner of Centro Quiropráctico Ana Echeveste, a subluxation based Chiropractic family practice in San Sebastian, Spain (since 2008)

Ana´s passion is to share the chiropractic paradigm through public speaking, specially to students, to help them increase their certainty and communicating skills when sharing the chiropractic philosophy with their patients. Ana discovered Chiropractic after finishing 4 years of Medical School and the change in paradigm and the effect it had in her life only pushes her every day to want to share it more and in a more efficient way.

Through her work, Ana is focused on inspiring people to live from the inside-out.

He graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic in 1993.

Dr. Torstensen has been in private practice in Norway for almost 25 years.

He has been the Chiropractor of a big number of international athletes. He has been the Chiropractor of the Football Team A.C. Milan since 2013.

Atle has given countless technique seminars to Chiropractors in the last 15 years.

Was awarded the Norwegian Chiropractic Association Chiropractor of the year in 2006 and TMC International Chiropractor of the year in 2010.

He is also the founder of Eureka Chiropractic Offices group.

Karsten Pedersen, D.C.

He will be giving a workshop on X-rays on march 2nd, 2018.

A native of Aalborg, Denmark,- Dr. Karsten Lynge Pedersen is a Chiropractor and he graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic in 1979.

While studying at Palmer, Dr. Pedersen attended numerous seminars at the Gonstead Clinic in Mt. Horeb, Wisconsin and has been practicing the Gonstead System exclusively, in his clinics, for the past 38 years.

While studying at Palmer, Dr. Pedersen was fortunate enough to meet, get to know and even visit with Dr. Gonstead privately. Some of the highlights of his years in Chiropractic.

After graduation, Dr. Pedersen has been in active practice with clinics in Denmark, Sweden, New Mexico, USA and the island of Rhodes, Greece. He also practiced at the Gonstead Clinic of Chiropractic in 1985.

Dr. Pedersen has been actively involved in teaching and promoting the Gonstead System across Europe. Additionally he was involved as counsel to Yeditepe University, Istanbul, Turkey when they were exploring the possibility of establishing a Chiropractic program in 2007.

Dr. Pedersen is currently practicing full time in his home town of Aalborg, Denmark. His experience in utilizing all aspects of the Gonstead System, on a daily basis, makes him uniquely qualified to teach both fundamental and advanced aspects of the system and relate it to various legislative conditions in Scandinavia, southern Europe and in the US.

His presentation of the Gonstead X-ray Listing System will be comprehensive from basic line drawing to advanced considerations on how the x-ray can be of help in getting a better understanding of the patients condition and it’s management, chiropractically.

Dr. Pedersen holds active licenses in Denmark and Sweden but also has a New Mexico and a Wiscounsin license. Greece and Turkey do not issue licenses to practicing chiropractors yet.

Iñaki is a speakers’ trainer, speaker and presenter who started very young. At age 11, he took a 2 month Public Speaking course and his biggest dread (to talk in front of the class) became his best friend.

After years of trying out different modalities, he took a hiatus from public speaking. That fire reignited in 2012 at a corporate training at work. Ever since, Iñaki has continued to explore this passion. Thanks to the Toastmasters clubs, he gained insights and recognition in the local Spanish speaking circuit.

Iñaki considers that the best approach to speaking in pubic is through purposeful practice with the appropriate guidance. He’s been trained and mentored by some of the top trainers in Europe and continues to perfect his craft and passion for teaching at IED Barcelona, where innovation is a must.

During his first five years as a facilitator, Iñaki has trained individuals through workshops and private sessions for clients such as Qlik, Ubisoft, Swarovski and Colt. He has coached TEDx speakers and given lectures and workshops at the Diploma, BA and MA levels, as well as provided feedback to 1000+ people.

Iñaki participates in several projects, both paid and humanitarian. With thought leaders, artists and colleagues. He is now committed to, with effective communication and innovative education, helping others to craft better presentations.
